CNN has picked up an AP interview piece with J.J. Abrams concerning his latest directing gig, rebooting Star Trek. The most intriguing part of the interview are his bold statements into saying he is making this for everyone without an attempt to only please Trek fans. This is something I believe several comic book adaptations run into a problem with and it is very good to hear. Seriously? Remember that little bit of news we got about T-Mobile’s upcoming 3G network launch in New York? Exciting stuff, save for one small, tiny little detail. According to an internal memo that the carrier is currently circulating, they only plan on flipping the switch on the voice portion of their “next-gen” mobile network. Uh…okay.
